The Brief
Launch The Wander Landes Festival and secure press coverage on the event itself and its ambassadors, Sunset Sons.
The Concept
Working on the project from idea to execution, Hayley Newnham PR utilised its portfolio of contacts across the core surf press to increase awareness of The Wander Landes Festival presented by VISSLA and Heads Beach Brewing Company. Weaving its way through Seignosse on 21st September – Sunday 24th September 2017, the new event celebrated live music, surfing and cuisine. Headlined by Anglo-Aussie quartet Sunset Sons, The Wander Landes Festival saw additional performances from Consolers, Haunt the Woods, Nathan Ball, New Carnival and Lee-Ann Curren.
The Results
Hayley Newnham PR secured two dedicated media partners for The Wander Landes Festival which generated press and social media coverage before, during and after the event. Hayley Newnham PR also hosted a dedicated press trip to Seignosse for two UK media titles and facilitated Instagram takeovers for both Carve Magazine and Surfgirl Magazine.
Radio interviews with Sunset Sons aired in advance of the event alongside a host of online news stories and print press coverage. The festival also received live reviews from bloggers and press.
