The Brief
Having worked with O’Neill in various capacities for the past five years, Hayley Newnham PR was thrilled to be approached back in 2016 with the opportunity to represent the brand in the UK and become O’Neill’s dedicated press office. Asked to increase awareness and visibility of O’Neill products, events and athletes in the UK, Hayley Newnham PR developed seasonal PR campaigns.
The Concept
Kicking things off April 2016, Hayley Newnham PR began to put the Californian lifestyle brand firmly back on the map and at the forefront of the minds of the UK press. Celebrating a series of exciting launches, Hayley Newnham PR shared the news of new collaborations, product injections and seasonal campaign stories.
Initial one-on-one press appointments were scheduled with key fashion editors and stylists to showcase the new SS16 range.
The Results
Hayley Newnham PR established longstanding relationships for O’Neill with titles including Financial Times, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Metro, Independent, Sunday Express, YOU, Fabulous, Vogue, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Hello! Fashion Monthly, Women’s Health, Glamour, Stylist, Grazia, OK!, Health & Fitness, GQ, Men’s Health, Shortlist, Men’s Fitness, Escapism, Drapers, Red Bulletin, Carve and Surfgirl.
Press continued to support the brand season after season with main fashion photoshoots, product placements and editorial features.
