The Brief
Launch Cornwall’s newest and most rambunctious garden fete in the UK to generate sales-driving coverage and post-event festival reviews.
Build an on-going PR plan to grow customer interest, increase ticket sales and heighten brand visibility throughout the UK.
The Concept
Created by Newquay-based production agency, Quick Panda Productions, The Great Estate is an independent, three-day music festival set within the prestigious grounds of Scorrier House in Cornwall. Opening its gates on 2nd June 2017, the event welcomed headline performances from Echo and the Bunnymen, Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show and The Electric Swing Circus.
Press releases with key announcements and headline acts were seeded over a six month period to drive news stories across TV, radio, print and online. Understanding the festival media schedules, Hayley Newnham PR also placed and sold in The Great Estate story to a wide range of media titles securing national and regional press coverage in festival guides and roundups.
Hayley Newnham PR invited a selection of key media titles to attend The Great Estate, generating live reviews and post-event press coverage.
All on-site PR was managed by Hayley Newnham PR including press briefings, artist interviews and press liaison.
Since the initial launch, a dedicated PR campaign has been implemented each year to drive year-round editorial support.
